NORTH CAROLINA 2005-2019:   Carolyn's husband Tom passed away in 2010, and pottery helped fill the void once he was gone.    She had continued with her pottery in NC but  began to   exhibit her pottery  more frequently in the New Bern area at  the gallery at City Potters, Tryon Palace Gift Shop, Bank of the Arts and Carolina Creations.      In  January 2016 she was  one of seven potters  doing a three  hour "Empty Bowls" marathon of  bowl making  at  Craven Council  Arts Council's Bank of the Arts .        CNC would  have  to say  that her artistic body of work over the years has been  experimentation and   innovation,  a  strange but accurate description.  (The piece pictured  in the BBQ is her first experimental working mini kiln in which she actually fired tiny pots. )  Several other kilns of her design followed during the last years  in the South.
